Old Lost Things. TV Guide Edition

At the flea market this weekend I found this Dec. 1975 tv guide from local Long Island newspaper Newsday.  I just love to see what tv looked like before cable.

There is a description of M.A.S.H. that I will highlight in another photo where the surgeons “suffer through a long night of wintrey night punctuated by a rash of difficult surgical cases and unsettling artillery fire…”  Doesn’t that seem like a description over EVERY episode of M.A.S.H that you have ever seen?  Maybe in some episodes its too hot with unsettling artillery fire or the surgeons try to take some R&R but get interrupted by unsettling artillery fire but they are all the same and all great.

I do not know who kept this tv guide insert from a newspaper for 35 years, but I am thankful that they did.  Now we can enjoy the fruits of their neurosis.
